Watched the guy's video. Cop and Homeland Security show up and accuse him of buying suppressors. He's bought a lot of oil filters for his trucks. He offers to show them his garage. After they should have been satisfied, they find out he was in the army (which they certainly knew before they showed up) and then transitioned the conversation into "you must know a lot about firearms" - still trying to get some admission that he might be a guy who would buy supressors.
Sorry but you can't let the police look around. If they say "We think you committed a felony", stop talking. They can ask any questions they have of your attorney. Trying to be helpful to the police is just helping them collect more evidence of your crime - even if you never committed a crime. I'm not anti cop. I want them to catch the bad guys. But, when you're in their cross hairs, they may act friendly and seem to be on your side but they are there to prove you committed a crime.
The guy in the video really screwed up. He had cut open some filters for a youtube video - no crime there. But, by letting them look around, he gave them evidence that he is modifying filters into something else. Even innocent stuff can be used as evidence you broke the law. If this ended up in court (maybe it will), the prosecution will put up photos of the cut up oil filters and the jury will nod their heads at the evidence.

If you are a restricted gun owner in Canada, you can't refuse law enforcement entry. They can show up any time they want to inspect how you are storing your weapons and if you have all that are registered in your possession - or a good reason why they are not. Same here for certain guns.

there is a thread adapter you can buy and fill out a Form 1 and engrave a serial number it then you can Legally attach it to your gun and screw on a oil filter your first shot makes the hole in the end of the oil filter.
Wish an online Chinese seller of things had been making oil filter and fuel filters with rather odd threads and advertising them all over the place the threads were 1/2-28 and 5/8-24 or were sold with adapters to get to that thread , those are the 2 most common threads on barrels.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I would have told them to come back with a warrant and I'm not answering any questions.

I mostly run Wix filters. I guess they're a pretty good filter from what I've been told.

Fram is the worst! I only use genuine Toyota filters on my Tacoma. If Toyota warranties their vehicles powertrains for 100,000 miles, they have got to be producing a great oil filter! Hands down Toyota filters! Recently bought a Tacoma, I have been wondering about the Toyota filters! Thanks!! On my F150, I ran Motorcraft filters.
