I worked for the Census Bureau as a field representative for over 5 years. I worked surveys covering the entire state of Arizona consisting of over fifteen different surveys. Many simultaneously. Eventually I contracted a position as a field supervisor. Overseeing hundreds of enumerators over four different states. This was my retirement "play job". Boys I've got to tell you. I would have captured the data needed for any survey presented to anyone of you without a problem. As a matter of fact my forte` was recovering refusal encounters very similar in what each of you profess you would do. Without appeal to nothing more than the level of intelligence, patriotism and common sense each of you possess it would become very clear that the data you would offer is of value to your community, county, state and our united states. Despite the stance of "they ain't gettin' nothin' from me".

And how do you know your "captured data" was accurate? If you start questioning my intelligence, patriotism and common sense, I take that as a direct insult. Insulting people is not conducive to your cause. When I’m insulted I don’t think clearly and have a hard time remembering things. Puff up like a banty rooster and pat your forte on the back all you want, since you were so good maybe you should go back. Simultaneous surveys, multiple states, they could still use someone like you.

What do I expect when you’re told to wizz off and remove yourself from my property? Come back with a Sheriff?

If government would pull their heads out, they’d realize the information the constitution requests, maybe not all the government wants, is in the IRS records system. Search the address, how many filings and dependents, all the needed information at their finger tips. Get off my property and stop bothering me.

The one twenty years ago we got counted because the wife was doing the counting. Ten years ago we never got counted as the flunkies were incompetent. This year three people showed up and I told them two people and gave our names so they knew we were counted. One guy tried the pork for the State, and community nonsense. Told him I don't do pork, so I don't care. They moved on.

I mind my own business and pay my taxes on time. What happens after that in the world of local, state and federal cesspool , i don't care. Sarge

Constitution says enumeration. I wrote in our names and ages. Left everything else blank except race. For race I wrote American. I got one letter and they left me alone. I did not get much grief for refusing to do the American Community Survey. I told them I had every intention of doing the 10 year enumeration and had no problem going to court for refusing their survey. Never heard any more about it.

I must be a high value target for the jehovas. They tried to get me to convert like there was a prize in it or something- they were coming up with excuses to leave. I almost feel like that woman lost rank because I didnt join. Sorry, off topic sort of....

If the jehovahs keep returning call the sheriff and tell the deputy you want them trespassed. Deputy that came here would not ticket or arrest them but did say he would ticket them if they came back. Been about 20 years since I had any bother me.
