Interesting. I didn't know what a coolbot was until I just now looked it up.

I was just talking to my wife about building a walk-in cooler.

Eh...wot?

Same here , I was thinking about retiring an older 6x10 cargo trailer and turning it into a portable cooler and making a run to Wyoming for an antelope slaughter

They work great. My buddies dad built a cooler with one. It is insulated with a double layer of the 2 inch thick pink foam board. The summer he finished it was in the high nineties in the pole barn when he fired it up and it got down in the low 40s pretty quick. During our first weekend of gun deer season it routinely holds 6-8 deer no problem.

I have had one for 5 years and my brother and a couple friends have them. They work great, just make sure you follow their insulation and A/C brand and sizing instructions.

I have also had one for about five years, built a small walk in cooler for deer. It works as advertised, mine can get as cold as 34 degrees

Been around them a lot in walk in cooler applications for produce, in buildings, a homemade cooler trailer and a homemade refer truck. They work great and are the best diy option out there. I’ll second following Coolbots guidlines for insulation, AC unit, etc. I’ve seen issues with icing up when there’s a lot of demand on them - lots of warm stuff moved in all at once in hot weather or if you’re trying to cool too big a space with too small a unit. That can be a real pain. With common sense works great.
