I cream the butter so it’s froth, add a wisp of basil and thyme, and sprinkle some pepper on top.

Butter, salt, pepper. Ambrosia variety corn. If you haven't tried it you're cheating yourself.

Salt and butter. I grow Kandy Korn, Jubilee, and Bodacious.

When I was a kid, we sometimes ate field corn, Dad called them cow ears. They needed a good application of sugar to be edible.

Yep! The original "roasting ears". When you're poor you eat what there is, not what you want.

Just the butter. I got away from the salt several years ago. Pepper many times.

Butter only. Made off an old cantankerous Jersey that creams to beat the band. Her last season, gonna miss the butter and cream from her.

Cut the field corn off the cob then fry it in butter right at the end of milk. Softens and soaks up the butter and whatever spices you fry with. Cook just until it’s warmed through and getting just a dab of color to it.

We’re running Silver Queen for the first time this year. No ears yet but so far I’m impressed with this stuff, looks real good and vigorous. Hopefully it taste good, it’s the only type that took root this season. No variety this season.

Street corn is the best and it looks like you might be recreating that flavor

A little butter, no salt.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.
