Buddy and I took a little trip to Maine. First stop , Kittery Trading Post. He bought a nice St. Croix fishing rod and a Spyderco knife.
Second stop , the mandatory lobstah roll across the street from KTP

Caught trout , bass , pickerel and some other species. My buddy got 7-8 fish , he is new and learning , I'm teaching him what I can. He is doing well , never used a artificial lure until 4 months ago. I got 30+ fish.

Last day we had planned on visiting Baxter state park. I reached out to Bruce T via p.m. to get some tips and sights to see as I have seen some great posts by him. However , mother nature made us change plans. I had received messages from home about the storm the blew through my area at home. Horrible damage , 15k without power in my city. Trees down everywhere. My city got the brunt of the damage for my state. Only a few gas stations open at home , some with 1/8 -1/4 mile lines to get fuel.
Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short. Returned to the 6-7 hour ride home.

Props to Bruce T for the info on Baxter park , sorry we could not make it this time but will be back soon , love the deep woods in northern Maine.

Thanks for the help/tips , Bruce T, will use them on next trip up. grin

Next time call Oscar Cronk and see if he's open. Although I'm guessing you took 95 up to Bangor so maybe a little out of the way...

I liked working up in Maine and seeing he sights- I am glad you are enjoying it. My wildest claim to get to was out on Vinylhaven Island and it was a long boat ride from Rockland

Maine is a pretty state. Visited there many times....the coast never gets old with me.

The lady that was killed by a shark last week on Bailey Island was only a few hundred yards from my cousins house. Spent a lot of time in the water there last summer.
