Life member of the NRA and GOA and a several different state organizations . When NRA folded on bumpstocks (I don't own on, wouldn't buy one, probably wouldn't take a free one, but I support anyones right to own one) I threw in all with GOA. I am sick of common sense gun laws and those who support them. The way things are I need to protect myself and family from both the cops (the supposed good guys) and the mob.
The amount of money wasted by NRA is a problem. Would love to know what ol' Wayne is paid? I think that donations etc. ought to be used to fight the antis and the leadership positions ought to be non-paid...
Soon as you start throwing out big salaries, you attract the wrong type, (ie the swamp)
So as for now I throw what I can, when I can exclusively behind GOA. As an unpaid local leader in "special interest" groups I can tell you that you get exactly what you pay for. You pay nothing your going to get nothing. Now that said there is a place for personal ethics in leadership and any organization with such a leader will be blessed until the temptations of power erode the ethics. For that reason leadership should be regularly rotated or kept answerable and only the membership can make that happen. I see this situation not so much a failure of Wayne as he's just human and was allowed access to the cookie jar for to long. It was the members failure to guard the cookie jar.

Percent of your dollar going for salaries is going to surprise some people here by the looks of it. Could you be a little more specific ? w

Could you be a little more specific ? w Sure, There's been several comments on the two NRA threads about the money going to the pockets of the leaders. If they look up the info I mentioned, I don't think they'll use that as an argument again. Getting me to bash one to make the other look good? Nope, I'll just point towards the facts and they can make the call.

That article is spot on White. The lawsuit is not to fight fraud or there would be charged brought against at least one of the 4 she claims committed it. Nope, went straight to complete elimination of the entire organization. She in fact should be charged for corruption of her office.
