Forreston got hit hard with winds. I didn't here any damage at Groenewold's but a lot of damage in trailer park behind them. I live in Baileyville and had a little over a inch of rain and no damage. Tanker trailer was blown in Freeport. The wind and rain was crazy.

Generators and chainsaws are in high demand. Electricity is still off in most of Cedar Rapids I believe so stores can't open. Menards in Norfolk NE sold 5 generators this morning heading to Iowa.

I am working down there, just got back home. There are so many power poles snapped, trees uprooted or sheared off. Dozens of semis and campers at RV place tipped like dominos. All intersections with no lights. Cell service is sketchy at best. Wouldn't even want to guess how many signs twisted or snapped off. I- beam ones and huge ones with mega anchor bolt patterns. Lot of roofs gone. Unreal, like a tornado with a 30 mile wide path. On my way back North , every gas station had 50-100 card waiting for gas. The power companies have there work cut out to get power back on in the near future.

I am getting some fairly lucrative offers to go run claims in IA so it must have been a bad storm.

The ex-wife left this morning to go help her Sister there. She stopped in Norfolk NE and bought the last two generators at Menards. Sounds like a nightmare.

On the Ag radio stations they say it was 500-750 miles long. One point they kept emphasizing was the damage to field corn and grain bins. The main point on the grain bins was many of them had cell and WiFi antennas on them and the impact that might have on schools in our current situation. Interested to know if that is relevant??
