they are currently trying to ban the gun used the least in crime. rifles , they fear rifles for some reason.

it isn't about saftey and it never was.

it is about control

they spout complete lies to the unknowing urban Liberal voter base who don't even know what they don't know.

all they hear is a promise to a problem they are told they have.

our US main stream media has however backed down some in their anti Assault rifle rhetoric in resent weeks, you know since they don't want to disenfranchise the Antifa and BLM terrorists carrying such rifles.

or maybe they are finding themselves wishing they had a good rifle for when the horde comes to burn them out.

The main stream media are keeping a low profile when it comes to firearms because this is getting too close to the election. They don't want to keep reminding firearm owners that they are aligned with the left and oppose gun ownership.

Your right about the quiet thing ,But the real reason is votes and until they get them they dont want to rile anyone !
