I an tired of not being able to buy previously common items. Ammunition, rubbing alcohol, full sized Bounty Paper Towels, vinegar, canning supplies and a multitude of other items are no longer available. I went to a Do It Best Hardware Store, Kroger, Tractor Supply and Walmart on Wednesday to get canning supplies with little success. Thursday, I went to the Country General Store, another Tractor Supply Company, another Kroger and another Walmart, with a little better success, but still could not get everything I wanted.

Why can't America get it together again?

Keith

I stopped by a local outdoors store today to pick up something I needed this weekend. It opened at 9:00 a.m. At 8:50 a.m. there was a line of people 40 deep because of a rumor that a small shipment of 9mm and 5.56 arrived. I guess the rumor was true but it was indeed a very small shipment.

Can't find fishing gear, even at Walmart. Can't hardly find any kind of fencing at local stores. Did find some .223 ammo at rural King the other day. Two 300rd boxes of Aquila fmj. They did have a few boxes of I think 70gr btsp but I left those as my gun is a otr 1:7 twist so wouldn't do much good for practice.

ten zillion unemployed by covid are becoming overnight preppers (after the fact) Three of my middle aged children and their spouses started keeping chickens,
Creeks are like going to the convention with brand new feed themselves anglers.
Even if you find something you can't buy it with cash, so why look?

Same situation here. Empty sections in stores. Canning especially. Place orders on-line, and get e-mails that the products are on back-order. A couple said that it’d be 5-6 weeks before they “might” get the items.

Have to get with the times. No one around here shops at stores anymore unless that can't find it on Amazon

Just went and checked my 'stash'. I'm good to go. smile

Not a hoarder, just CHEAP. blush

I hit 'close out sales' and buy in bulk when I can. Canning supplies, ammunition, and other 'durable' consumables are never going to be as cheap or plentiful again.

Same here. Couple places told me last week that they hadn’t received any new stock in a month.

I’m not seeing a shortage locally. I had 60 dozen new Ball regular mouth lids/bands....tried selling them for $3 a dozen. Ended up getting $2.50 or $2 a dozen. Selling on a couple big Facebook sites and a local flea market.

Dollar Generals still have jars-lids-bands here.

Here, lids were $3.99/dz back in March. A little higher in a few stores.

Went to Menards to buy some stair riser lumber couldn't find any 2X10s or 2x8s. I also planed on replacing some of my deck boards and they didn't have any 10 footers.
