The 550 is a vast improvement over the older 1.75CS.

Never held a Victor 1.75 forged in my hands, but just from what I have seen... it's the MB550. hand down for sure!

I would think the 550. But you could get some bridger 1.75, they are only 97.95 a dozen, and seem like a solid piece of steel.

Which is better for a fox/coyote trap? I’m about to make an order from F and T Depends how much money you have to spend. I have only my 550s right now. Have tried a couple other traps because price was better but always have went back to the 550. I am going to look at the Duke 550 when I go to Barnes Fur customer appreciation days. Will probably end up with another couple dozen MBs even though they are going to be $100 more.
Wish I had more time to trap....
