Gator Foot OP trapper G Joined: Apr 2014 Posts: 1,928 La.	I was just taking down my purple Martins houses. And I found a dead purple Martin still sitting on her eggs. I have an idea of what happened! But, what do y’all think?

Gary Benson trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 21,716 Sandhills Nebraska	That is odd. Mine are still here! Last year the nesting boxes were 6x6" and I had 3 babies fall on the ground. This year I changed them to 6x9" and lost none. Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Getting There trapper G Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 7,240 West Michigan	Mother nature at work. I know Eastern Blue Bird get blow fly's laying there eggs in the bottom of the nest and the larvae will suck the blood out of the new ones birds that have hatched. To Old U.S. Army 60-63 SGT.
