Even the general public could be incentivized to get vaccinated. “Oddly enough, the best way to impose a mandate is to reward people with more freedom if they follow that mandate,” Caplan says. For example, with proof of inoculation, you would be able to attend a sporting event “as a reward for doing the right thing,” he says. “And I can imagine people saying, If you want to go to my restaurant, my bowling alley, or my tattoo parlor, then I want to see a vaccine certificate, too.” if that doesn't either make your blood boil or run ice cold, you're not a True American! What if a business owner says, “whoa there you vaccinated mutant, we ain’t serving the likes of you in here?”

Mark asked "how did we get here". Well, as many of us in our 60's and 70's can look back and see indications that it started decades ago. Certain people in power only intend to do things that will better themselves, not the country. And in some instances, never for the good of the country. Democrats and Republicans. The most glaring example might be that hard work week that Congress puts in. 52 weeks a year equals 260 potential work days. Subtract the 26 weeks they are on recess (are they really working?), then subtract Monday and Friday of each "work" week because they travel home at taxpayer expense, and it ends up about 130 "work" days a year. Pretty tough schedule. Include the fact that there no longer seems to be checks and balances. ALL of them are complicit together to some degree. To a certain extent none of Congress wants to rock the boat. I would venture to guess (IMO) that it started during the Clinton administration. It limped along for many years until the community organizer was elected even though he stated he "wanted to fundamentally change America". Remember Joe the Plumber? Asking Barrack about spreading the wealth around? It all looked like a bad idea, but people voted for him because they hadn't liked Bush. Be careful what one asks for. But the masses (mostly urban) voted him into office. And the division of the country accelerated. I'm not sure what the Democrat party has in mind, other than getting in control and staying there by handing out votes and money until we have an economy like Italy. Let's hope Trump gets re-elected.

They will also change the voting laws, bring ion more people to nationalize and place them in cities that benefits their being voted in while supporting them. They also will re-structure the scotus if they can.

There is a good probability that it will get very bad here shortly.......we could have the first madam president within 9 months. They thought they had it done after two terms by obummer but Trump threw they for a loop so if they get in again they will put the hammer down. It could get dicey.

If a COVID-19 vaccine is truly effective, why would they force everyone to get one just to enter a sports stadium, school, or restaurant? That doesn't make any sense. The vaccinated people would be immune to the disease and would have nothing to fear from those who have not been vaccinated. The only people susceptible to the contagion would be those who chose not to be vaccinated.
What's that quote from C.S. Lewis about the greatest evil being that which is forced upon us for our own good?
Of course, we let them do it to us with mandatory seat belt and helmet laws. So, I suppose we will let them force us to be vaccinated, too.
I think there is a correlation here with laws making some drug use a crime. Either a person has a sovereign right over what they put into their own body, or they don't.

You need to learn to do some research. This is from the CDC. The most effective year was 2010-11 at 60%. Last year was only 29%. People who think the flu shot is effective are fooling themselves. If you cannot give me AT LEAST the flip of a coin, keep it. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/vaccines-work/effectiveness-studies.htm Except we know the CDC intentionally lies to us. I would never trust anything the CDC says. I'd look for a more trustworthy source of information than the known and proven liars at the CDC.

I didn't read all of that (yet); but if it's "mandatory", they can kiss my substantial buttocks...sounds too much like the "Mark of the Beast" for my taste.
just having it available, and it's likely I WOULD.
having said that, the last time I got the regular flu shot (about ten years ago); I got the flu. haven't had the shot (OR the flu) since! I've never had a flu shot and have never had the flu. I got a cold about 10 years ago is all. My wife used to get a flu shot every year and every year she got the flu. She asked the doctor why? He said it was a different strain. Three years ago, she stopped getting the flu shot and hasn't had the flu since.
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

When has the flu shot been 70% effective, more like 50% on a good year 35% on a bad year. The flu shot is 70% effective against the strain of flu it was created to vaccinate against. It's overall effectiveness is lower, when the receiver is exposed to other flu strains. I'm not scared to get vaccinated. I don't think there's likely to be some sort of nefarious plot connected to vaccinating people. Keith You should sign up as a volunteer for testing the covid vaccine then. BTW a 28-year old man just died who was doing exactly that...

The only nefarious plot I see is one to condition people to accept more government control for safety concerns. They can KMR.
