what's a good height to build a deer feeder to possibly help limit coons from possibly eating out of it. Or maybe a better way to ask is how high can you put it and it still be comfortable for Midwest size deer to eat out of it.

Waiting for the picture of like10 coons piggy backing to get to the feeder... Then you'll see no feeder is safe.

I have some that the corn is belly button high the deer still eat from them. It does not keep the coons out they can climb the metal pole.

I put carpet tack strips on the legs a little higher than they can reach. Works for me. Now squirrels are a different matter all together.

I just pour about 200 pounds out on the ground. The coon get fat and lazy and by Nov i don't have many coon on my corn. In Oct the deer and coon fight for it.

Larson stop playing and use those nice coyote traps to thin down the coons to a population level you can afford to feed. Maybe uncle Mark can get you a deal on rolled corn and tell him I said hello LOL

Only one I've seen was a 6 gallon bucket with 1/2 in holes drilled in it suspended on a rope about 5-6 ft off ground. Cuts down on turkey and coons. But coons will sometimes slide down the rope ....
