Hey I got a novel ideal . How about the NRA showing up for the kid in Wisc that was arrested for the shooting. They claim they stand up for gun owner rights , now this is a perfect chance to prove it !!! Instead of vacations and lavish resturants let Wayne pay for a great lawyer for the kid. Be a perfect recruiting tool for new members. Heck if he did that I may re-enlisted to the club .........

Give it time. At this point the evidence is not all in and the NRA must be sure the kid has a good defense. Much of the most critical evidence that I and others saw this time yesterday can no longer be found on the web. It showed the kid being blind side attacked just shortly before he tripped and fell in the street.

Maybe the NRA isn't for the 2nd Amendment, maybe they just use it for their marketing plan.

Maybe you guys should stop bashing the NRA. It does absolutely no good. How about you show your support for the pro-gun group of your choice instead?

For example jbyrd63, please tell us how the group you financially and idealistically support is getting behind the kid in Wisconsin. I haven't heard about any pro-gun groups getting involved yet but I'd sure like to hear about if they have.

I don't like the NRA bashing either. I'm no longer a member but I certainly wouldn't be bashing one of the only groups that stand tall for our rights on a regular basis. Yup they got their problems but who doesn't. In my own home state we have a problem with the archery hunters not wanting the cross bow hunters. All this does is devide us and let the left in the front door. If the kid was on the up and up I hope he does get representation from pro gun groups and all that support the free Americans left standing up for our dwindling rights

The NRA isn't about to stick it's neck out unless their is overwhelming evidence that it was self defense. Even then, they would only get involved if they could use it for propaganda to raise more money. Until the top officers of the NRA are taken out and replaced, I'm afraid that this is the way it will be. I am a member by the way.

In many states you have to be supervised by an adult until you are 18.

14 here to be unsupervised and no minimum age to possess.
