I have a used 2545 mahindra went to change the hydraulic oil. The book says its capacity is 9.25 gallons. When I drained it over nine gallons came out. When i put new fluid in it the sight glass shows it full at 7.5 gallons. I have started it and worked the loader but it still shows full. Anybody have an idea what is going on?

Did you notice the level prior to draining? Also, heat may expand the oil some. Try working it and moving it around some, just a bit, and recheck.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

Not surprising. I have a 6530 that when you fill it recommended oil capacity it is about 3 inches over full on the stick. I made I new mark with a file. Also the 9 gallon may be empty hoses and cylinders.
