How's your fruit & nut harvest this year? With deer season approaching, I've been thinking about it. Poor apple crop for me this year.

Both are solid this year. Some hail damage on the apples but the deer won't mind that.

I will have a poor apple harvest this year. The apples are all smaller than in years past and most have a black indentation on them. This is after being sprayed with a fruit tree spray a couple of times.

I don't usually get very good apples. I have several varieties and get a lot of apples that can be eaten but none could be sold in supermarket. This year is the worst. I suspect it's because we got so much rain all summer. Fungus got my apples and my peaches. Pears are looking okay so far.

My apple trees are loaded to the point the branches are breaking off.

I have nothing clever to put here.

This just doesn't seem to be good apple country around here. Most trees have apples too small to do anything with except let the wildlife eat them. There are a few exceptions. Maybe it's the makeup of the soil they grow in.

So many apples this year it’s going to be hard to bring deer to an Apple pile. Every tree is full. Good blueberry picking too

My wild apples are ok no bumper crop. The couple trees I planted I am still taking the flowers off so they don’t fruit yet. I will let them produce fruit next year now that they are 8-9 feet tall. The problem I keep having with them is the Japanese Beetles. I have sprayed the trees and the beetles still eat the leaved.
The bears are in the wild grapes, apples, acorn and corn field

The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

Wild apples are so so this year. Considering i thought all the trees died last year due to some sort of fungus i suppose that's good new. Domestic apples about the same as always. Quite a few apples, mostly bad. Few good ones get pecked by the birds. We get just enough to eat but nothing like it could be. No matter how well i prune, spray, and do all the recommended things i just cant keep the bugs away. At least ive mostly solved the rust issue.

Small in size but seems to be plenty of apples this year. Acorns are very plentiful.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
