My plan was to stay on 70 but the GPS took me to 470 then the turnpike and I wasn’t paying the toll with a trailer and couldn’t get back up to 70 without a lot of monkeying around, I was trying to make it in one also its about 7 hours one way, when going the correct way, so it ended up a long day. Possible we did I had a red 3/4 ton dodge stainless deer guard and a silver enclosed trailer.

i suspect atrazine for the loss of rats mink rabbits quail lightning bugs big bull frogs scissortail birds meadow larks and various other wild life species disappearing around here

P.S. you should have stayed on 75 south. At I35 went west. Sign says south but your really going west. At Emporia you get on 50 west. just past Strong City take 150 west to the round about and continue west on 56. The toll road to Emporia would have cost less than ten bucks. Its about 15 minutes faster

theres a big curve on 50 before you get to 150. you turn right onto 150 but your going due west.

I spent 20 years at Roxbury which is 10 miles north of Canton. When you lay down hay there are so many birds or prey show up it looks like an Alfred Hitchcock movie behind you and that is what I always assumed happened to the muskrat and quail.
In the 90s there were plenty.

Agreed. Back in the day a 5 gal bucket full of 110s = a bucket full of rats about 3 days in a row and then move to the next spot and you could kick up 3 or 4 big coveys of quail on every little shelter belt around an old abandon homestead. I have always wished my son had gotten to grow up doing the same thing I did back in the day.

Also Yes Sir I’ve been racking mind trying to remember where I saw it and the full name on the side of the truck but part of it was L.E. H something there was 3 trucks one straight truck was red with what seemed like a 30 foot white box on it they were windrowing sorghum I think and chopping it with a claas. Not sure were that would have been. Seems a little early for sorghum here but some areas are a lot drier than we are right here and their sorghum is done.
