Picked this up at a flea market this morning. I was told it was a hole trap. Maker unknown 71/2" jaw spread. It looks to be all original, nothing stamped on it anywhere. Never saw one like it before so I bought it Any ideas?

Thanks! They must be bigger because ours could dance a jig on the trigger. They are triggered when the mole pushes the dirt up which pushes the trigger up and sets off the trap. All but the wires are above ground. I have used them, without a lot of success but that's how they are supposed to work. I think they can still be bought new, not very long ago they were.

Hippi did you ever set that gin trap? Your trigger gap(from top to bottom) seems rather big. Just curious because mine is only a 11/4" gap. Mines just #11 wire for now, I'll make a nicer one in the future. Thanks
