We're overrun with them here - except on opening day.
We just save the breast. The rest of the bird demonstrates the difference between a bird raised for meat and one that works for a living.

Nice picture Bruce .... It really puzzles me how turkeys can survive harsh winters like Maine and ny .... I know they eat emerging buds but man short legs and deep snow don't mix ! Really would be interested to know what their winter diet consists of ? They bud up in the trees like a big partridge(grouse)
