In every vehicle that leaves home. New family rule. We all have our carry permits. We all talked and agreed. When we go somewhere from now on, every vehicle will have a side arm and a long gun of some sort, for each person. I am never unarmed, always a rifle in my vehicle and a sidearm on my person, we ran into a small bit of trouble/protest in a bigger town this afternoon, it was a safe felling, feeling the extra weight on my belt today and knowing of backup in the truck. We will also go in pairs if at all possible.

Everyone stay safe and protect your own.

Very good idea. I'm also avoiding big cities like Milwaukee or and city run by Democrat mayors where rioting is going on or is possible.

Sounds like its getting 'sporty' out west. Not bad in these parts. I expect if/when it breaks loose down here, all (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) is going to break loose.

I try not to got to the city, but when i do, its because of work. 2 glocks - 3 clips each and a shotgun in the backseat. They might get me, but not without a fight.

I like how you think. From the videos Ive seen that kind of planning could very easily save your life or another member of your family. As the election gets closer I think the crazies will ramp things up even more.

I live in a VERY rural area. A few years ago I was out working in my barn during the summer. I had a radio playing and turned around to get some tools when I see this guy standing in my barn door.
He has on shorts - no shirt - and sandals. I asked him if I could help him out. He says "Uhhhh.... yeah man, do you have any gas I can borrow? I ran out just down the road.
I pointed to a 2 gal can by the door and said just drop the can off when you go by. He drove by but never stopped. He could have come up behind me and knocked me in the head!
I don't play the radio in the barn anymore, keep an eye and ear about my surroundings and always have my 1911 with me. We have a lot of meth lab activity in the Nat'l Forest so about everyone I know does the same as me.
Since I got my CCW permit, I don't go anywhere without my pistol. The only difference now is that I'm legal.
I learned a long time ago that an ambush rarely, if ever reveals itself until it's all over. By then it's too late.

Good on ya' Owl - it pays to be ready no matter where you're at!!

The girls held out until today. Even they are now on board with no questions. They were scared today and hadn稚 felt that before. I知 sad to say that I知 glad they know that feeling now, it will serve them well later. They now understand why I think, pay attention and act like I do.

This world is getting interesting quickly. Be careful.

We live east of the Cascades and still feel safe so far. Starting in March wife and I never leave the house without packing a couple. I walked into our local store in a very small town with my double 9 on my belt that I forgot to take off. I apologized to the store owner, then he thanked me for packing and said it was the safest he had felt in a long time.

And generally 2 calibers of rifles. A .22 and an AR or truck rifle (.308, .223, .243, 22-250) The .22 for small plinking and the larger calibers for critters (hogs, coyotes, etc.)

I always do and have. Same with my boy, since he started driving. A 22 is truck stock, the sidearm is a constant reality, rifle is usually the old 30-30. A man without his tools is a waste.

The girls, it痴 new for them. I値l put a safe in each car for places they absolutely cannot carry. They値l have a shotgun of some variety rather than a rifle to accompany their carry weapons. For carry weapons and females, she equips herself on YouTube became a favorite this evening, worth checking out for wives(if you have one of these) and daughters. They would also like spray for the pockets of the inside door handles.

If anyone has ideas, we池e open. The easier it is, the more they値l do it and safer they値l be. That I would think goes for everyone reading too.
