Looks good.
When is your Provincial wildlife bio going to raise the early limit to 12 birds ?
Does not look like any northern birds in that group yet (EPP strain)
Snow gees just showed up at Whitewater Lake today, all adults
It is going to be interesting with no artic banding having happened this year

Is it noticeably quieter without all the American waterfowlers up there?

Manitoba gets 6000 non residents vs 5500 resident hunters waterfowl, so you figure it out. Normally the non resident did not start till the 24 Sept.

Last edited by Northof50; 09/06/20 06:46 PM. Reason: waterfowl added

Looks great. My middle boy looks like he’s going through detox every time he sees a wood duck or teal. Lol Only a few days before our early season opens up so he can get a fix then.

no most guys bring 5 wheel trailers and stay in free gov. camp grounds
different matter with the bear and whitetail hunters and caribou hunters since they need guides

That's a federal biologist call. Provincial people are advisory in the process.

Awesome stuff, they are real fun to dump. The common theme here this year without the non residents is that guys have an easier time getting access again. We took this limit of 48 honkers the other day, took about 20 minutes.

I see a lot of white necklaces on those maximus birds.

Yes Crosspatch; Caswell has to make the recommendations but his dad has retired from the feds. They did it in Manitoba.
Just think of all those goslings and flightless geese moved out of Regina across Saskatchewan have done in 40-50 years.
