This evening I was sitting on my tail gate that faced a seldom used street and looked up because I could hear a car speeding by only to see a hand come out of the window. The hand made a finger gun and one of the 4 young idiots inside shouted bang bang!
The color of the youths should not matter but maybe it does- I suspect my being white is why I was selected for this little disply.
What are your thoughts- should this be considered a threat or just young ppl being stupid after a day of drinkin?

I wouldn't do much unless the car did a u-turn up head and came back at you. Then I would think it was a credible threat. But, those "young, dumb, and full of c.." to quote a movie, probably got the trill they wanted from just their fingers against you.
About 20 years ago, I was attending one of my first professional conferences and rooming with two brothers. All of us were from South Dakota, where we generally don't think about crime or random violence. This was in downtown Pittsburgh and we were staying at a hotel that was right across from the "triangle" park (forget its name) where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers come together form the Ohio. It was Saturday night in early April (so it was dark) and pretty quiet where we were so decided to go ride one of the famous "inclines" on the other side of the river. We decided to walk over there because it wasn't too far but we had to walk through the park to get to the bridge that crossed the Monongahela. The sidewalk as decently lighted but really no one was around. The three of us were walking, with me slightly behind the brothers, and 3 young guys of a different continental origin came walking from the other direction. As we passed, one of them said, 'One, two, three, would be dead (can't remember the exact ethnic slur he made for us". I saw one of my friends stiffen noticeably in apprehension and that was it. I'm sure the reaction was what they wanted and they had a good laugh as they walked away from us. It was a bit of a wake-up call that, "Toto, we're not in Kansas (er, I mean South Dakota) anymore." We did the incline a couple of times but I think we took a cab back to the hotel, no more night walking in the park for us...

Left I'm not getting into a debate about idiots. But what happened? Did you run out of ammo? Cleaned it and forgot where you put it? If you need ammo send me a ship to address!

I like license numbers and vehicle make and write them down and keep in a safe place. At the sheriff's office would be a safe place. Might want to set up a camera that's angled to get license number. Your camera could even help other neighbors some day.

Foxpa I am right there with you. After dark I got to thinking on it and went for a ride behind the project housing close by. I didnt see that vehicle but I will be watching for it so these little idiots wont eventually harm someone and nobody have any idea who they are. As far as setting up game cameras Im in a hotel so that wont work out.

I always took you for a country boy. Anyways, I wouldn’t worry too much about someone giving you hand gestures. If people standing on the street with rifles doesn’t bug you, a little thumb and pointer finger in the shape of an “L” shouldn’t bug you.

I don't worry about much of anything J-park- not for me anyway. Down here our media hides the stories of elderly people of unarmed white people being attached with bricks and by mobs etc. Some things bring out the sheep dog in me I guess

blm just attacked a bunch of elderly white people at outdoor areas of restaurants in Pittsburgh, Rochester and Washington DC. They proudly posted the videos on social media, to get other blm members to emulate them.
They're mostly cowards unless they have vastly superior numbers and the victims are perceived as week. That's why they mostly attack the elderly, rape single women and beat up, knife or shoot white children, as they have in the last few weeks. blm has beaten up scores of white children, shot a 5 year old white boy in the head and sliced a 2 year old white baby's face, while he was in a stroller.

They suuuuure do look tough bullying women, children, & married couples sitting down for a meal when they have a crowd behind them. I think these punks are almost as brave as the mass shooters who enter schools, movie theaters, and shopping malls where they are all but certain they will be the only one armed.
I wonder if they would be that tough with a group of good ol boys that should be left alone.
