Is there a noticable difference in speed between 2 coil and 4 coil coil spring traps?

When it is dry and not frozen probably some but barely noticeable. Under a crust the answer is definitely.
A lot of guys think 4-coiling runs the risk of too much speed and increase in possible foot damage so when you 4-coil you laminate the jaws to spread the force out over a larger area. I am one of those guys
