Well, you know what they say: Red sky in morning, sailors take warning... Red sky at noon, sailors better repent soon.
Pray for them.

Reminds me of a story I heard about two towns long ago.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Couldn't happen to a "nicer" place...

I've never been there and I hope I never have to go again...

There's no answer. We've overpopulated the world. As a former co-worker said once, "I've ****** myself into poverty." Had too many kids.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

It's a good thing that the gestation period for humans is 9 months or there'd be more people than rats. Combined with modern agriculture and advanced medical care someday there is going to be a population crash accompanied by suffering of epic proportions.

If these fires were in NY or PA or any other Democratic state nobody would say these things.
There are good people losing their homes and businesses due to climate and winds. The pine and oak forests in CA are immense and very tough places to fight fire. Most of the bad management is on USFS land but state land isn't much better. Normal weather patterns give you no rain between May and October. Deal with that as a firefighter.
Cut them some slack, since there are so many Christians on here, and pray for rain. California isn't the only state in the US that would do best by sliding into the ocean.
As I've said many times here, California has alot of great people of all classes, but you guys only see trhe worst unless you actually know somebody from there with roots.
Pete I consider myself a Christian but I also believe you get what you sow and California has been sowing bad decisions and bad government for years and the fires they are suffering are largely due to just such mismanagement So yes I take a bit of selfish satisfaction in watching them suffer, I am only human after all, and while I am sure there are at least a few good people there it’s there own fault for not getting out when they could
