Thumbian OP trapper T Joined: Nov 2019 Posts: 191 Michigan	I ordered a new Fire Chief wood furnace in May. The dealer was straight up and said these are new models that need to be certified to new EPA emission standards. Likely won’t have the furnace until August. No problem as that gives me plenty of time to install before it’s needed. Dealer called yesterday with an update; due to COVID the EPA will not complete certification until 1Q 2021 and Fire Chief cannot sell the 2020 models. Nice to see that the EPA has everyone’s best interest in mind. Fire Chief cannot sell their furnaces and I will not have renewable source of heat. Best part? I didn’t pre buy propane this year because I was to have a wood furnace. Hopefully propane price remains stable

Sounds like you need to gather up a load of friends, head over to the dealers place and have a peaceful protest where the 2020 model just happens to end up going home with you.
