HOYT archery trapper Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 241 SO. central Kansas	I like to flag my bobcat sets with a duck wing on a swivel. The duck wings are Mallard or Gadwalls. The bottom side of these wings is a nice bright white. I put a smear of Unfair Advantage on the white side of those wings. I catch bobcats in sets with this type of flagging. Does the Unfair Advantage help? I like to think so, but I don't really know. I catch more bobcats now using Unfair Advantage than I did years ago when not using Unfair Advantage. But that probably isn't an apples to apples comparison. I catch more coyotes now than I used to years ago because I'm probably better at trapping now. One more thought. I catch bobcats at times in no eye appeal flat sets made for coyotes. So clearly glow in the dark attractors isn't the only factor to a good bobcat set.

The guy that used to top your state's season's cat catch every year in a few weeks of trapping has stated many times he simply used dirtholes which were intended for coyotes. As you've already pointed out there's many factors to catching those goofy cats. I wish we could use real feathers here....I like to throw the kitchen sink at cats...I'm probably overdoing it.
