https://www.yahoo.com/news/teen-hunter-run-over-corn-131506966.html A 14-year-old hunter apparently fell asleep in a Michigan field before he was run over and killed by a corn chopper, police say.
The boy was dropped off in a field in Chandler Township early Saturday so he could hunt, the Huron County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Once he arrived, police believe he may have fallen asleep.
Later, a 25-year-old man showed up to finish harvesting the field with a large corn chopper. The farm worker had no idea anyone was in the field and ran over the teen with the chopper, according to police.
The man quickly spotted the teen and called police. Emergency workers arrived just before 9 a.m.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Officials have not released his name.
The Huron County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy in the coming days.
Chandler Township is roughly 130 miles north of Detroit.

Very sad I am sure some will not understand how this could happen
today could I sleep through a corn chopper making passes ? probably not.
but when I was a 14 , I could sleep bouncing around in the bed of a truck down gravel roads.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

When I was in the army, we were out on field maneuvers. We pitched our tents under some trees one night. It was a nice night and some of the guys wanted to set up in the field adjacent to where were and sleep under the stars. Instead, we opted for the wooded area.
The next day we found out there were night maneuvers and a number of APCs drove right through the field were we would have been sleeping if we had chosen that area to set up.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

I about got an archery antelope hunter with my pickup one time. He was setup in a little used, weedy two track along a fence with his 2-D decoy on the other side of the fence. A buddy and I were headed to a spot to hunt deer and going up the 2 track he was on. When he jumped up and I got stopped he could put both hands on the hood of my pickup. He had been asleep and I wouldn't have seen him until I was over and passed him. Luckily we were going slow and looking at his decoy. The decoy had blown over and we couldn't tell what it was. Scared all 3 of us pretty bad. That was you?? LOL

This happened about 5 miles from where I live-know the parents. Just terrible.

Terrible. Why do they need to do an autopsy?
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo
You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Terrible. Why do they need to do an autopsy? I'm guessing to see if he died of some natural cause before the corn chopper arrived.
