Someone let me know what prices are paid. Me Too !!! When are you coming back to New York, Gary ? I've got a decent pile of hides rolled up & froze that I planned to sell to Groeny when the Spring Rat wagon route got cancelled. Got to clear the freezers out to prepare for the fall rat harvest. Otherwise, I won't have any where to freeze the catch until Groeny comes through on his winter fur buying route. GROENY ROCKS !!!! walleyed

How horrible walleyed that you might have to scrape stretch and dry your catch to make freezer space. You could always buy a few more freezers.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

NOPE, I now consider beaver hides in the same light as opossum skins. They are now a trash fur bearer. You've been telling us for years that United States fur is unwanted by the fur trade and now I agree with you. Have not put up a beaver skin in three years. Thanks for setting me free, Boco. I'll harvest the valuable parts such as the castor, oil sack glands, tail, and skull but unless I can sell the frozen hide to the hatter market, the skin goes in the trash. GROENY ROCKS !!! walleyed

Jim Bridger and John Colter would've settled for $4-5 I'd bet! LOL. Probably made considerable more

I sold 67 finished beaver 3 weeks ago for a $9.51 average. Several cubs in there. 14 were weighed as hatters. $4 to $18 fur beaver. Hatters $5 a lb. Pretty tough beaver market. I sold 25 to a furrier for $20 earlier this summer. Helped a little. I had 72 up for sale at FurHarvesters last week and just sold one, so....I'd say you did good. (First time I ever heard beaver young called cubs....LOL Must be a MO thing).
