The Coyote sales in the report do not agree with info that has been posted on here about the coyote sale.

Report shows 100% Western Heavy sold and Eastern Mostly Unsold

Earlier reports indicated that the best of the best Western Heavies did not sell and that some of the Eastern Heavies sold for quite a bit more than the lower grade Western Heavies that did sell. If all Western Heavies sold for $77 average as stated in the report, the coyote market is not all that great either.

The report with the better western heavies not selling is from the April sale.

There are at least 2 threads going on this subject and folks are getting the 2 sales mixed up. Which is causing a LOT of confusion.

I realize that things don't look good. But under the circumstances there were not many buyers present due to travel restrictions. Too early to call the market for this upcoming season.

Yes it's early but I am hearing even worst prices coming...but inventory was almost 100 percent sold for Western coyotes so there is still a market is the bright side of it

I found the posts that were discussing the sale results and wismiss was correct. They were referring to the April sale of Eastern Heavies compared to the August sale of Western Heavies.

This was in a recent thread, post #6991668, 6991737, 6991958 and 6691966

So Eastern Heavy in April mostly sold for $108 Avg and Western Heavies sold 100% in August for $77 Avg. And Easterns Mostly Unsold in Aug.

My question Is still. How many eastern heavy coyotes sold for that $108.00 average?

It will be interesting time coming, it's not going to be a year to sell early. Imo

Yes and no. Depends on supply and demand...short harvest prices will get better if demand is not met...but right now demand is falling taking prices with it...so anybody's quess

I’m thinking those $34.00 skunks weren’t very big at all. My guess is they were those little spotted skunks ( aka civits).

Not to mention 15 dollar otter and 40 dollar lynx also unsellable mink fox fisher.
Northern trappers are a hurtin unit.
Good thing for beaver.

Not trying to argue, Nancy, but those big skunks with the wide stripes and white down the side.....more whiite than black, have been bringing a lot of money for at least a dozen years or more. Skinned for fur, as in no feet etc, have been bringing 24- 26 buck for years now. You get paid a premium for those kind, I've had some myself. Like I say, You may be right about them being civits, but they could have had some skinned with feet like I described that brought the big bucks!
