We have milk goats and are getting a breed sheep to put in the electro net fence with them. The goats eat the brush and weeds and the sheep can work on the grass. That's the theory I will see how it works over the next year or so.

I haven't mowed in years. We have sheep and goats that free range during the day. Those manicured lawns are kinda ugly anyway.

The Amish put sheep in their cemetery in the summer to keep it nice.

I used to have manatees keeping the weeds short. Still don't have lawn and just bush hog once in a while when the missus can't find her car.

I have always worked with cattle and sold those and bought some ewes to fit in with our son and daughter-in-laws flock. It has taken me some time to learn the grazing preferences of sheep versus cattle and how to manage stored forage and grain with pasture to have the flock keep the pastures grazed evenly and the flock growing well.
