I have been in a constant fight the past few years with this stuff! I was told to spray the young sprouting plants with Round Up. It will kill them supposedly. I sprayed them with it and it seemed to invigorate them if anything. Next, I'm going to try spraying the young plants with a strong solution of Crossbow.
I've been cutting the largest plants off at ground level and painting them with undiluted Crossbow and that seems to kill them.
Anybody have any solutions for this invasive species?
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

I have about 20+ acres of woods in my backyard. I would hate to burn it. You know what a potential problem that could be.

I don't have any neighbors within a half mile. I also have a prickly ash problem which the buckthorn seems to be crowding out. Prickly ash is just as bad as buckthorn, but easier to kill and doesn't spread as rapidly as buckthorn.
