Marxian economics again. Factory without labor is about as productive as labor without factory.

Three academia scholars; 2 German & one English have had a monstrous impact on our culture since the 1850's.

Karl Marx
Sigmund Freud
Charles Darwin

Ain't we all just so much better off embracing what these three thunk up.

Science isn't the issue. That's a benefit to humans.
But we humans embraced these 3 in ways that are hard to explain.

Blessings,
Mark

I prefer the term "free market " .
Crony capitalism is no better than socialism.

Gotta admit. The young socialist had memorized his teachers real well.
Isn't Ben something.

What I always get a kick out of is some of the best entrepreneurial ideas come from very liberal people in liberal areas. From their own hard work they make some really successful businesses. They continue to espouse liberal ideas...... Until the tables are turned.... Until their own staff organize for better wages... Then suddenly they understand free market and risk/reward principles.

The prophet of woe and lamentation, Daniel Horowitz is the same way.

I am a fan of Ben and this is a great example. Sounds like kid never worked a hard say in his life but wants to argue for more. The world doesn't owe him or his liked-minded friends anything

Agreed.
I think it is rediculous that the dependent populations are so hateful of the very system that keeps them fed and carrying $1000 smart phones but here we are.

Agreed LL.
There surely seem to be a bunch who chase their tails down the same bunny hole. You'd think they'd get kinda dizzy after a while.

I notice that the fans of "worker" owning the means of production are willing to own an existing enterprise.

If they think their system is so great why don't they start their own business and have it owned by all the workers? Nothing stopping them.

Answer, because that takes time, risk and money to make a profitable business, they don't want to invest that, they just want to walk in a reap the profits.

Hey this is 2020! How many businesses have a solid black ink track record for a decade or 2 but might not survive this year?
I think a lot of business owners would say start up was a snap b/c the variables could be calculated or at least anticipated with some degree of accuracy Now? Ha! Staying in business this year will be listed as a near impossible task depending on which city, county, or state officials do everything in their power to close your doors up for good.
