Looks like to grind grain (probably corn) into meal. AKA a mill Too small for cattle feed. Throw some shelled corn in and give it a few cranks and see what happens. just

Hand mill for grinding various grains, usually for animal feeds. X2 My grandpa used one about like that to grind corn for chickens.

Thanks all! This one has thumb screw adjustment on one side. Do they grind fine enough for flour. My son wants to make some acorn flour for a foodie project. Need to break it done and clean it well first a little rusty inside.
I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.
