I laughed hard at that one. It is true that most private property is insured but let's take that it's its logical conclusion. Insurance rates will rise and eventually either they won't be affordable or prices rise separating the rich and poor further or..... It would lead to a private police force supported by the insurance industry. Again.... Leading to only those that can afford it to have protection.

I agree with Mark's line "society held together by moral fiber". That fiber is frayed and broken. This country was founded and settled without police and it wasn't pretty. Those who want to get rid of the police aren't going to like how it goes down. The law of moral society was defended by people with guns. Common citizens. And thugs were shot dead.
