Thank you for your trapline vechile threads. My car was getting sluggish so I decided to put a new air filter in it. The old air filter was 5 years old. A little under 50,000 miles on it. Thanks for the reminder. I'm being serious, no sarcasm.

At shop twice in last 3 yrs, I had air filter check when get other work done, they always say it good. I change my own oil, I notice that it increases in oil consumption after oil break down with more miles on oil change. Maybe 2 qts in 3000, not bad, but in may they say air filter good. A couple months back after same air filter in over 2 years. I bought one. The old one was get clog up pretty good upon inspection, I thought, on mine it lil tricky install as lay air panel filter in box which is on slant an filter likes slide down in air box, have to lift top air box up an start push hard at angle where hinges at an hold air filter in place. Have unhook mass air flow sensor an take off intake hose an another hose then just 2 clips. Years back when went Goodyear shop an had oil change. I ask check air filter an got tires. An had tell them change oil as say did an didn't, I found power steering cap lay there in power steering, not screw in an mechanic broke of both clips of air box an left lay on side air box az check parklot, the shop guy had hair down past waist an didn't like him, I complain an got new air box free. That shop guy didn't like me, never went there again, this just 1 Goodyear store. I went to another one in sane town an excellent service everthing different times.
