Take work boots off. Problem solved. At least I think that's the answer, because I'm having trouble making out the question.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Between me and 2 adult sons at home working in trades wearing work boots for 10 to 15 hours at a time in the summer, the boots come off and spend the first couple hours on the deck. Not because of oil!

Dave, there are booties to wear over your boots to keep them clean.

Take a pair of tennis shoes or whatever with you and take them off when you leave work. Spend $5 get a storage tote and put them in there. Problem solved. When it gets cold out bring the tote in the house where it's warm so you're not sticking your feet in a cold boot. It seems like an easy solution.

worked drill press for a year many years ago

I had an old truck with a seat cover on it and didn't worry too much about it but took off cloths when I got home at the door left boots at the door

when I worked the garage doing tires and oil had uniform service left the dirty uniform in the barrel and wore shorts and a t-shirt home could wear the same shorts half the week as I only wore them to and from work

sounds like you would be well served with a metal trash can one of the short ones like 10 gallons place it in the back of the truck bungy it in the corner

get to truck take off oil soaked cloths , toss in metal can
take boots off at truck sitting on tail gate
slip on some gym shorts and a fresh t-shirt slip on easy to slip on shoes drive home

truck saved , house saved

when not winter you could use a 5 gallon pail with simple green in it to start soaking those oil soaked cloths in the back of the truck.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I worked in a foundry for a few years pouring molten metal, and believe me,,thats about as hot and filthy a job as you can find.Only difference between that job and yours is,, I didn't gripe about it every day.I did my work and was happy to get the paycheck.

Seems like every year you want to quit a job and trap coon Are you sure you can sell those coon for $5? When the big boys lay out because it's not profitable catching coons I guarantee it will cost you more than you can make. Boco is right find you a good job, if you can't find a better job in this market you never will. And stay away from those temp. agency jobs.
