It has been a week since the IA convention. I was anticipating seeing several photos and some posts as to how this event went. I have not seen any posts or photos. Would be interesting for those that were there to share how things went etc. If they are willing to share their experience with us. I know some of the demo persons I had on the slate for the FTA/WTA that was cancelled were planning to attend IA.

I'm guessing most of them have likely succumbed to Covid at this point.

It was a great convention! Pretty steady traffic both days, and it appeared the vendors were doing pretty steady business. A couple that I talked to were pleased with sales.
It was interesting to note new faces. There are always the old friends you see at the convention, but there seemed to be a lot of new people this year. (I know some of this is due to folks from surrounding states with cancelled conventions.)
As far as I know, COVID has not killed any of us off, but its only been a week. whistle

I ain't sick or even dead lol
It was a fun time. Except for it was chilly and rained every day except sunday after it was over.
I think the crowds were smaller but enthusiastic.
Not many masks but social distancing was evident.
The western part of the state is not as populated as eastern and central so that may have been a factor.
I spent too much money as usual.
National is in Spencer next year which is in the same general area.
Sorry I didn't take a single picture.

My wife and I attended. Had a good time, and visited with many friends that we only see at conventions. Several dealers and tailgaters. It was a good show. Thanks to all who put the work into making it happen. No signs of covid at this point.

I thought rather odd that the DNR wasn't there. Saw Mike Anderson. He said no coons for him this year. Coonman was there. He was wanting to know if eastern NE lay of the land was the same as western IA.

Thank you for the updates. Good to see that the convention went as well as it did.

I had a good time. I would say that it was less crowded than anticipated with the interest from other states. I tried to spread my purchases out to help support the vendors that were present. Everyone seemed to be social distancing to best of abilities. The 2 demos I attended were informative and proved everyone has opinion/technique that works for them and I just need to find what works best for me.

I thought the convention went great and it was very well attended. We got to watch several great demos and learned some new things along the way. I talked to many vendors that said their sales were good. I'm sure there were some that didn't have as good of sales as they might have wanted, but not everyone will be happy all the time anyway. It also looked like there was a bunch of tailgaters and they had great selections of used traps, equipment etc. Thank you to all of the vendors that attended as well. Many of them spent a considerable amount of time traveling and incurred expenses just to attend. Most everyone seemed to have the attitude that it was just nice to get out and enjoy the convention. People are tired of hearing doom and gloom.

And last....I'd like to thank the Iowa Trappers Association for all of the hard work, time and effort they put into making this convention a success. President Craig Sweet and the ITA Board of Directors, all deserve a huge pat on the back and many thanks.
