When I wore work boots they either came off outside or I changed them at the shop.

My parents taught me to ALWAYS take off my shoes at the door. To not do so is pure laziness. Maybe you should get a few metal slivers in your feet that'll learn ya! I worked a farm and construction my whole life with a stint in blacktop and came home filthy. Come home, take off boots, strip down, and jump in the shower. End of problem

Unfortunately there's always a reason everyone's suggestions won't work. Mostly because it's easier to complain than change your way.

Dave ~ Is it possible for you get a locker where you work to put your boots and work clothes in? I'm sure you're not the only employee there that has this same kind of problem, so maybe all the employees could get together and ask your boss for lockers. Just a thought.

Your house must be set up different then mine. I have a breezeway thats usually 5-10 degrees colder than the outside temp and I aint freezing taking my boots off I dont care how lazy it is, Seen times when I had to thaw out first before I could take off my pants. But yes, in mild weather it is doable.

Get one decent job and you wouldn't need two crappy ones. Or better yet, find a seasonal one like lawn mowing and they lay you off all winter and can trap all the $2 coons you want.

All shoes come off before coming inside.

When I worked in a distribution center I would always leave work boots in the garage.

When I worked around a lot of fuel and such I would wear a pair of cover-all’s over my work clothes, I would take them off before getting in the truck. I would then at the end of the week, take them to the cleaners or a laundromat.

Sane when I was a paid firefighter/EMT, clothes changed before leaving work, took them to the cleaners at the end of the week, got them back nice and ready to go back to work.

Nothing went in the house.

It’s considered rude where I’m from to ask a man what he makes an hour.

You just don’t discuss money. Every man makes a different amount and usually earns it.

How is taking your boots off in the parking lot not a good idea?

When do you want to take them off? Inside or outside?

What does a ladder have to do with taking off your boots before going inside?

You're in PA.. It ain't that cold. I would never bring my work boots inside if I had to wear them home even when it's -20. Even when I lived in an apartment building I wouldn't wear them in.

Probably not.

But, next time you go in they will all be like, there is that slob who made oil boot prints on our carpet... sure hope we don’t ever lose his mail or important packages....
