Made up a bunch of Zagger style pan covering for use with a steel screen pan cover. Mulching mower and a quarter bale of hay and it was over quickly. Put some in ziploc bags so I don't look like a hobo carrying a trash bag trapping. Stuck the rest in a big trash bag.
Check one more thing off the list that is ready for the season.

I threw a couple sections down in the bottom of a 55 gallon barrel and went to town with the weed eater. Worked well

I tried saving lawn trimmings one year and they all molded.

I have nothing clever to put here.

You cant store them in a plastic bag when they are green or they will rot on you.
They got to be in like an onion bag so the air can completely dry them out.

I found a lawn service and asked them where they disposed of their bermuda grass clippings. Endless supply of blending material!

Think of it a different way, like hey that looks like someone just dug up a mouse nest, I should check this out and see if there is any food for me. So maybe not a good blend but an attractant. Or, it doesn't matter, I have caught them in snow.

I use some grass clippings, but i go to cemetery and get mine they dump them in a big pile .
Some mold but it's ok, coyotes don't seem to mind. And it's right during trapping time.
I've used ant hill dirt before that had a mold like smell and still caught critters off it.

Let me sugar coat this
