If anyone is in dire need of Hornady or Berger Bullets, we had a new store open up near me that has a lot of bullets in stock. I picked up 2 boxes of Hornady 115 gr 9mm HAP 500ct and a 100ct box of 9mm XTP. They have most calibers and types of bullets that are popular in stock. I'm not shopping for everyone here, but if there is something you can't live without, let me know and I will see if I can pick it up. I will run over there at 7:30 tomorrow morning if anyone wants something.

I haven't been able to find any 110gr .30 cal hornady vmax in stock in months. I think I have 18 rounds left for the 300 blackout. I have other guns the boys hunt with so I'm ok but If i have the opportunity to get some I would jump on it. If they have any I would take several boxes. Thanks for making tho offer to look. have you taken many deer with the 110gr vmax we have taken 2 both neck shots , they seem a little fragile for most anything but a neck shot. even on neck shots I am not getting an exit .

I got over to the LGS and was able to pick up 2 pounds of powder , he is good on long guns , thin on handguns but has some decent ones in stock.
nothing small pistol or rifle primers available , he did have some cci #34 45 dollars a box I decided I was ok on Large rifle primer I would leave them for others.

Thanks for making tho offer to look. have you taken many deer with the 110gr vmax we have taken 2 both neck shots , they seem a little fragile for most anything but a neck shot. even on neck shots I am not getting an exit . My 9 year old shot 2 and I shot one with it last year. 8.5" barrel 2 head on shots for my boy. One at 56 yards bang flop no exit bullet passed through tell hide stoped it it hit lungs busted spine lot of bone. The other was 28 yards cut the heart in half long ways exit 3 "behind last rib. The one I shot was spinning to run. Hit her in the spine and she dropped of course. By amazing unbelievable twist of fate I found the expanded core of that bullet 40 yards behind the deer laying on top of a leaf. They had some fragments break off and a core jacket separation . I run it as a braced pistol suppresed and for low recoil fairly quiet 125 yard and under gun it works but it's limited and there are much better rounds out there. This as a pistol makes it legal on the caliber rested indiana public land. Honestly I prefer my daughters handi rifle in 357 mag with 16 gr of win 296 and a 158 gr hornady xtp. but it's not threaded yet.

I wonder if the added velocity of the 16 inch barrel is doing it
in WI you have to be 18 to hunt with a handgun/pistol.
I find nothing but fragments in the neck , just pieces nothing even looking like the core.
both have been a half step and fall.
both decent bucks

both decent bucks 200fps would definitely help the bullet come apart more. I haven't seen any rules in Indiana on age min on handgun hunting. Then again I haven't looked and really don't believe it would be an issue with me right there. So far it's a non issue
