Just returned from a 700-mile roadtrip (2 days) where I drove to the other side of the state to catch a few catfish. Passed this sign, but had to turn around and photograph. Never heard eggs called that before. Made me chuckle. Also liked the Trump flag (it's not on my truck).

that and the trump flag are probably to keep the riff raff from stopping by , they come so unglued by the flag they don't even stop to harrass you about killing poor baby Lambs
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Thanks Boco. I wondered if anybody might catch that. My life has revolved around C. lupus for several decades. The good, the bad, and yes, the ugly.

It's a 8-9 hour trip (one-way) over to HeIIs Canyon from where I am on the Montana border, so I usually spend a bit of time over there. This trip was rushed, however, as I still have some harvesting to get done and an elk hanging in the shop ready to butcher. Nonetheless, a good trip. Only fished 5 hours and caught only 2 bigger channel cats, and both were released. The bigger ones are so loaded with methyl mercury from the Snake River that we don't eat them (anything over 20 inches goes back in the river). Caught a handful of 10" yellow perch and couldn't keep the 11 3/4" smallmouths off the hooks (12" minimum for keepers). Usually, I catch a preponderance of channel cats, with a blue every once in a while. No flatheads that I know of in the canyon. Rarely, catch a bullhead or two. On the drive home I camped halfway along a dirt side-road. Hit the main highway at about 0500 and didn't see another vehicle for exactly 122 miles. Saw 32 muleys, a couple of elk, 1 red fox, and one marten before I encountered another human. That's why I like living where I do.
