Anyone buying once it hits a certain value? I'm thinking if it gets back to 18 bucks I might get some Eagles.

Precious metals are touted as safe hedge against currency value erosion. That assumes there are only a few weak holders vulnerable to forced sales in hard times.

That's around where I bought 20 oz back when it was dropping off of the highs from the recession. Then it dropped into the low teens. But I still have it.

I had never bought silver until it dropped to around $11 an ounce and what bothers me about it is the ridiculous premiums. Even now I see the best prices are still with around 7% premiums. Is there a way to lower the premiums? Spot is $23 right now I don't want to spend $250 for a 10 oz bar.

Bad investment gold and silver save maybe buying stock you pay for buying and selling commission and historically it has never paid off as an investment.

I bought silver in 1990 for 3.8 to 4 times face for silver coins and put a down payment on my farm with most of it in 2011 when it was in in the 40 some dollar an ounce range, $20,000 worth.

Too many people look at metals as an investment, it's not.

A correction in prices is necessary for the next leg up.

Doubt it will drop under 20 this year, I think you can forget about 13......and that's the 'listed' price but what can you actually buy physical silver for?

Whether silver is in short supply depends on how you view silver holdings by banks.
