I’m looking to buy a game camera for testing bait. I haven’t bought a camera since they was using film. I want one with no flash.I’m looking for something cheap. I just need to know if the coyotes hit it, not how many nose hairs they have. Any suggestions? I saw this one on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/usogood-Activated-Waterproof-Wildlife-Surveillance/dp/B07SZBBL8G

You can always put electric tape over the flash if that keeps you in your budget.

Won’t that eliminate night pictures?

Wildgame innovations silent cam lightsout is the best at not getting detected by coyotes over a set. The noise a camera make can scare them as bad as the flash

I think you want black flash instead of no flash.

You can find wildgame innovations cameras for less than that, should be some on sale at dicks sporting goods if you don't mind shopping there. I have a bunch of wildgame cameras and they take good pictures night and day. Most new cameras don't even have a flash anymore they've gone to IR. Wildgame terra 10,12, scrapeline any of those would work for what you need them to do. You can probably grab a tasco off the shelf at walmart and it'd be fine as well though it might crap out in the cold. Few pics for reference, I think they were all on either a terra 10 or 12.

If your looking for cheap but reliable, I brought some simmons for 20 bucks each last fall, they have IR. Am real impressed, with the picture quality of the pictures and video. They trip upon movement and/or heat. Only problem I have is birds, grouse on the ground, or chick-a-dees flying by tripping it. Big thing is if someone finds it and gets sticky fingers, I'm not out alot.

What’s the difference in IR and no glow? I was of the understanding that regular IR still has some degree of flash

IR the bulbs glow red for a second. No glow shouldn't show any thing. There are likely more expensive options where the bulbs don't glow at all.

Can you post some pics from these trail cams to show how good the picture quality is?

I bought one of these over the summer as a Guinea pig and will probably pick up several more. I want to blanket my property and my buddy's. For $28 each I can put one one every tree! They take 8 aa batteries and I'm still on my 1st set from August 1st. They dont take frameable pics worthy of an art gallery, but you'll know what's going on! So far nothing seems spooked.

Bought one last year for the simple fact it was only $28, lol. Still working and taking pics. I put it on part of the property that’s isolated from the main property. If it’s stolen I’m out $28. My only complaint is no battery meter. I just change them out every 4-5 months and no issues.

Tasco is the way to.go as far as a cheap camera. Don't buy the $39 one it is junk due to piece flat piece of plastic on the front of nk it. If it gets any kindnof moisture/frost on it pics are useless. $28 one takes a good picture and if something steps in front of it you can bet you will get a photo of it.

On a related note, if you buy the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries they'll last you for a year or better. No joke. I've had the same batteries in for a year and a half but it's not high-traffic all the time.
