I tried using the winch on my ATV to pull a super stake that was driven through a root. Picked the back wheels up off the deck and the cable broke once I went past 45 degrees. Tried snatching it up prior to that. Thinking back now, if that stake had come up it probably would have pegged me right between the eyes, lol!

I pulled chained superstakes thru a foot of frost with the winch on my buggy. Pulled till the front would squat, then it would slowly start coming out. Probably not the best on the front end, but I didn't want to come back in the spring.

Guys keep in mind I use custom chain and it's welded to a Fox Hollow bullet. # 7 chain is rated to 3200 lbs. and the 5/16 th quick link is 2500 lb rated so it ain't going to break

You mean there are people that don’t own some sort of atv/utv or even a truck they use to check with that has a winch?

We use a winch on a Ranger but to help ease it a little I take my drill with my dirt hole bit on it and drill down and aroundish it before we start the winch. They pop up like nothing. (18" wolf fang)

Ya can't miss fur if yur traps are out somewhere.
Or so I've been told.

I got the Old F150 but I can't see hauling around a trailer and unloading and loading a ATV on the trailer or in the truck bed.
Besides why would I be running a $5000.00 ATV around to catch $15.00 coyotes LOL

We pull wolf fangs on 18 inches of cable with the winch on a honda pioneer. Have only broken one and it broke at the ferrell at the anchor.

I bought a fence post pulled from Tractor Supply and put a length of chain on it with a hook. Works like a charm.
