He had gone six times with his Dad and it was the first time I went along. They had been hunting in other areas and seeing deer, but its not easy to get things to line up with a first year hunter always. We had a hard west wind and sat in the pasture by the house, and had deer moving with in a half hour. I had been telling them I was seeing deer by the house and he was welcome to sit here. We saw seven does and fawns, She was about 40 yards and dropped like a rock. He was shooting a 223 with a 64 Gr SP. Its raining now so I am glad that's worked when it did. Today is the last day of the youth hunt.
BnB I haven't seen any moose at the house, but see them with in two or three miles. A buddy has a moose tag, and I told him I would go with and find him a moose. But he has that offer from a number of people, so who knows.

Since she was less than 100 yards from the house, we loaded her drove to the house for Grama, Mom and Sisters to see. Unloaded her for the pictures and reloaded her and drove out from the house to gut her.

That's a dandy.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.
