What is this cost? Does it go to the driver? Should I count that as a tip?

I believe the company charges that now for gas insurance etc.... for their drivers. At least that's what domino's told me years back. I think it's a rip off just like the power company charges a franchise fee.

door dash , eatstreet , uber eats none of them deliver to where I live local pizza delivery is local drivers working for the restraunt


but in places where the food delivery serivces are , if they aren't wearing the hat or shirt of the place you ordered from or have that on the roof of the car. figure it is being farmed out to a delivery company

The delivery charge goes to the store. If you want to top the driver, that is extra and up to you.

If I don't want to pay for the convenience of having food delivered I order carry out and burn my gas and routine maintenance on my car. Not to mention my time because I work and my time is something that isnt unlimited.

A couple of bucks ain't go to break you for the delivery guy. If it does take your vehicle to go pick it up.

I think it varies by pizza place and who they use to deliver. Ask the pizza place when you place your order.

At least I’m not the only one that gets it. Lol

I used to be a modest tipper at best but since my daughter started serving in the food industry to help her through university I've learned how much young folks and other otherwise low income earners depend on it. I'm Mr. big time tipper now if the service is good.
