The nickle D-ring says it is one of Glen's early ones. The first few years he used D-rings from his saddle shop. wink Oh, and yes it is a sterling 600 from the 1970s, like 73 to 75ish.

I would gladly double your money on it. grin If the chain is still intact it would likely bring $50. That trap is one of the painted pan traps, is a shame the paint is gone or value would be much higher from what I have been told. I can tell ya what Glen told me about the ones we have of that vintage. Use the dang thing and catch some yotes. I do this and think of Glen with every catch. Just be careful to set it where theft is a nonissue.

Thats my plan, hope to catch one in it this year!
Plan on setting it on some private property I have.
Thats the 1st Sterling I have had and I really like it.
Actually just ordered a couple more new ones so I can set a few and
and see how I like them

Milligan and I bought our first four doz traps from Glen, when he lived in Rogers Ne. Ray trapped out west of Casper and I trapped NE of Gillette. I know Ray left some of his on a bad storm that he couldn't get in to pick up. If I was a betting man, That could very easily be one of Ray's traps that someone found! I had a local trapper show me an old victor trap that he bought at a garage sale, and it was one of mine!

It also has twist link chain on it, that Glen only used for the first couple years. Andrew dated that trap about perfect!

Thanks for the info Lee!
That would be pretty sweet if it was one of Rays traps!
My father said he's going to try and get in touch with the guy he bought it from and see where he got it
