Just home from work about an hour ago and was in the middle of cooking, dogs start going nuts so I grab my NV and tripod and black out the porch lights. Theirs two properties around my house, and if y'all remember some of the posts I've made before about hogs and coyotes, the property in the front is my wishy washy neighbors and the other is my uncles who dosent really care as long as I don't set the place one fire...... Again lol. Any how behind the house, nothing, side of the house nothing, pasture in the front where I'm not allowed to shoot...... Well Watched them for about 5min before they made a U and headed back across his pasture. I honestly don't feel like having a repeat of the last few times somthing like this happened so I think Imma just be quiet ,kill a few hogs and make a draw station in a little holler in a pasture I can shoot and trap. Lot less of a headace then hearing the whole rigamoral of ,I know what I said but you should have yadda yadda yadda. E

Can you just run a supressor? 300 blackout with a can and nv would make an awesome hog/ coyote rig out to 150yards id think. I am running a can and these 300 Blackout 190 gr Sub-X® Subsonic with ATN night vision. They stone a coyote but don't tear up the coyote.

Suppressed 300 would still be pretty loud. Not subsonic, very quiet and with 110 grain supersonic you don't need any ear protection, not loud at all. Or did you mean 300 win mag and not blackout? I shoot a .300 Short Mag and you don't need ear protection. Not for Coyotes at night though.

Suppressed subsonic .22 is the only quiet "click" round I know of. Maybe I'm wrong. Point being the neighbor or uncle or whoever will still hear a suppressed 300 so there wouldn't be much point. Maybe I'm wrong. I've never shot one, thats my understanding of suppressors though. You’re definitely wrong. Any subsonic ammo through a can will do the same as a suppressed 22 though a can. Click, THWACK!
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

Even with supersonic rounds the suppressor quiets the muzzle blast where you are and the bullet breaks the speed of sound downrange from you. It seems like a faster bullet almost cracks farther downrange, anyway won't do ear damage like the muzzle blast. So, shooting even a 16" AR in 5.56 suppressed is way quieter than without a suppressor.

Can you just run a supressor? 300 blackout with a can and nv would make an awesome hog/ coyote rig out to 150yards id think. O trust me it on the list. But hay I got my own place now and just bought a car so bills take priority lol. Not to mention. The $200 tax stamp then $4-700 suppressor and the 6 month waiting period. I am looking at doing a form 1 suppressor build though since its only a 6 month wait and the kit builds are cheaper. Also yeah really looking at getting a. 300blk. 7.62x39 was my preferred just because I used to be able to buy it everywhere dirt cheap but now unless I'm dropping $325 on 1000 or so rounds I'm out if luck and relapsing components aim the cheapest thing in the world brass is a pain more than anything (though got most everything inbred to start). 300blk though is alot more prevalent it seems not to mention I can use lower priced .310 bullets and form my own brass out if the seemingly endless supply of 5.56 and. 223 I get at the range
