Apparently it is difficult to define. Lefties throw that word around - alot - but what is it, and more importantly who are they? One common element is gun grabbing by the fascists since they oppose liberty.

Fascism, as it took shape in Europe between the world wars, was bound up with a unique phenomenon that has had no real equivalent in American society: a regimented mass movement, with a uniformed paramilitary arm, committed to the radical remaking of society as a whole.... But Trump not only lacks a mass movement at his command; he has made no attempt to create one.

As explained in Liberal Fascism, before World War II, "fascism was widely viewed as a progressive social movement with many liberal and left-wing adherents in Europe and the United States," but the Holocaust changed their view, and "[a]ccordingly, leftist intellectuals redefined fascism as 'right-wing[.]'" The phrase "liberal fascism" was coined by none other than socialist H.G. Wells.

No attempt to precisely define fascism will be made here. But classical liberalism or conservatism it is not. Fascism at its core, like socialism, communism, and progressivism, is statist. It is opposed to liberty.

At it's most basic form, facism is a dictatorship and anyone that disagrees is lucky just to go to jail. My way or the highway to the camps.

It's antifa and blm in the streets right now a lá the brown shirts or germany

Fascism is tool to advance an ideology. It does not belong to any particular ideology in itself.

What from Christ that soul can sever,
Bound by everlasting bands?
None shall take thee
From the Strength of Israel's hands.

Fascism - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Fascism is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, as well as strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.

I believe this definition is still evolving.

A term used by the left because it sounds so cool that it's definition is irrelevant.

A lot of us here would agree that the left accuses the right of the very things they themselves are guilty of. Add this to the list.

Remember anything from Europe described as right is completely the opposite of the right in the US. Their Right is is literally national socialism. The left is international socialism.

The world would be a much different place today if Hitler had succeeded.

This is what I’ve learned in simple terms

Capitalism- Free Market, Democracy
Fascism- Free Market, Tyranny
Communism- Government Controlled Market, Tyranny
Socialism- Government Controlled, Democracy

Of course you can replace democracy with republic or you can replace tyranny with oligarchy or dictatorship

Facism does not have a free market. It's state sponsored at best.

And there is no democracy in socialism. Both are incompatible. Democracy is by definition tyranny.

Hitler allowed businesses to run themselves. Plus I was just giving the main idea of it.

My father fought for the United States Army and also with the Royal Canadian Airport and World War II
There was no hesitation on his part.
I was replying to Boco's post
