Agreed to a point... they do great smaller work so to speak but they damaged two different bear hides I had sent there to be tanned for rugging I still send them anything smaller than bears. Osky

Details, what are you having tanned? Taxidermy or garment? That should help the people who may or not be a reliable source of information. Good Luck!

I use Moyles. They have never completely destroyed anything, yet.

Moyles is super for Beaver and coon. Personally I think they thin fox too much.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I have used Tubari and had several coons, coyote, otter, beaver and muskrat garment tanned the last two years and was very impressed with the turn around time and quality.

Osky They put several slices in my son's first otter and put a couple of holes in a couple of beaver hides a few years ago and never said a word about it. Maybe they improved but I won't take that chance, Z&L gets all my skins and always a great job.

I have used several different tanneries and so far Moyles ids at the top of my list. But I will be giving another East Coast tannery a try this year. Carolina Fur Dressing is Raleigh, NC has been in the tanning business for years, doing taxidermy work. They recently announced that they are now offering garment tanning and have their website updated to reflect the new offering. Carolina Fur Dressing CompanyShipping to Idaho from NC gets expensive. Be nice to load up and drop my pelts off at their facility in Raleigh.

Osky I’ve only used them for bears. First one was done right second one was destroyed. Hesitant to send anything again. Never a problem with Moyle or Tubari

I couldn't agree more. I've used them (Ben Deters) for many things and I've always been satisfied with his work.
